Afternoon tea bridal shower
Afternoon Tea is a tea-related ritual, introduced in Britain in the early 1840s. It evolved as a mini meal to stem the hunger and anticipation of an evening meal at 8pm. Afternoon Tea is a meal composed of sandwiches (usually cut delicately into 'fingers'), scones with clotted cream and jam, sweet pastries and cakes.
I love the idea of having a tea party for a bridal shower! It's fun, quirky, and girly. The food doesn't have to be catered and it will be pretty easy to prepare!
I love the idea of having a fun bridal shower outfit! It's okay to wear something that screams "I am the bride" because you are, after all.
This romper from Mark Zunino is super cute and fun! Another fun option would be this jumpsuit from Theia. It's simple bit still very bridal!
Decorating for a tea party can be simple. Flowers, greenery, and a simple table runner is all you need to make a wooden table look chic!
Letter balloons are totally a thing right now - You can spell out whatever you want and it makes decorating easy!
We hope you can get some inspiration from these photos as we are now dying to throw one of our own!
