Long or short engagment?

Why wait?

Planning takes time! Every aspect of planning a wedding can take up to a year if not more. You should plan 6-8 months for your wedding dress to come in and have two months to spare for alterations!

It's the little things you have to plan in a wedding that will take the longest. If you are planning to do a DIY wedding give yourself enough time to get everything done while not being stressed.

Give your guests time to plan to come to your wedding! If you have out of town family it's nice to give them a good amount of time to book and plan their vacation for your wedding!

Enjoy your engagement. You only get this opportunity once! Enjoy this exciting time with your fiancè and have fun planning your wedding together.

Why you shouldn't wait?

If you plan to have a simple, smaller wedding then a short engagement might be right for you! Theres not rules on how to be a bride or how you should do things. If a shorter engagement matches you and your fiancé's vibe, go for it!

Keep in mind you may have to purchase a wedding gown out of stock if your engagement is less than 6 months! (But you should still have plenty of options to choose from)!
